Bal Ram Adhikari is a central member and the Kapilvastu district incharge of the CPN - UML. He contested for the Parliamentary Elections in 2056 BS from Kapilvastu-3 and in 2064 BS from Kapilvastu-1, but failed to secure victory both times. Adhikari was elected as a member of the Constituent Assembly in 2070 BS.
