Ram Janma Chaudhary is a central member of the current working committee of the Nepali Congress. He has been elected to the House of Representatives thrice; 2048 BS, 2051 BS and 2056 BS. Chaudhary served as a lawmaker under the proportional representatives system from the Nepali Congress in 2070 BS. He served as the State Minister for Land Reform in 2057 BS and Minister of Health in 2072 BS. He also served as the Assistant Minister of General Administration in 2054 BS and Assistant Minister of Education in 2055 BS.
