Giriraj Mani Pokharel is a member of the CPN (Maoist Centre). He has served as the Minister of Health, for three terms, and as the Minister for Education, Science and Technology. Pokharel has been elected as a member of the Constituent Assembly, twice, from Mahottari constituency-1. He was also elected in the Federal Parliamentary election of 2074 BS from the same place.
