KC, who is currently a member of the central work execution committee of the Nepali Congress, was elected in the lower house in the elections held in 2048 BS, 2051 BS, 2056 BS and 2070 BS. He served as Minister for Sports, Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Minister for Labour and Employment and Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport on different occasions.
