Dipak Giri is a central member of the Nepali Congress. After two failed attempts in 2051 BS and 2064 BS, he was elected as a member of the Constituent Assembly in 2070 BS. This is his fifth candidacy. Giri served as the Irrigation Minister in 2073 BS.
