Som Prasad Pandey is a member of the CPN (Unified Socialist). He is a former member of the House of Representatives, 2071 BS, 2074 BS and 2076 BS and the Constituent Assembly, 2070 BS. Pandey previously served as the Minister of Industry, Commerce and Supply. He was also the chairman of the Human Rights Council in 2076 BS.
